The city of Bonney Lake is getting another car wash.

Sasquatch Car Wash at 18207 state Route 410 will open next year. Co-owner Bridget Vandeventer said the car wash might be up and running around spring. Operating hours have yet to be determined.

“All commercial construction projects are complicated, and that is certainly the case with a car wash,” Vandeventer said. “Currently we’ve just begun dirt work, grading and preparing the site for the actual construction of the building. Apart from the structure, there are many equipment components of the car wash. This timeline is expected for any project of this scope.”

The car wash will have a tunnel system. It won’t be a self-serve car wash. The tunnel system will have a dual conveyor belt that can accommodate different types of vehicles, Vandeventer said. The conveyor belt will make it easier for vehicles to enter and exit, she said.
[–>
The car wash will have a height clearance of 86 inches and a width clearance of 96 inches. There are no restrictions on the length of the vehicle or its tires, she said.
[–>
Prices haven’t been finalized yet but customers will have different options to choose from, Vandeventer said. After a vehicle goes through the tunnel system, vacuums and air duster tools will be available free of charge.
[–>
“I think it’s gonna be a really fun place to go to,” she said. “We’re really excited to be part of the community.”
[–>
The space the car wash is in used to be a coffee shop.

Other construction work on SR 410
[–>
Other work along 410 involves a chunk of land near SR 410 and 225th Avenue Court East that will turn into a 50-acre business park for light industrial, manufacturing, wholesale and office uses. The Peak410 Business Park will have five buildings and hundreds of parking spaces.
[–>
A roundabout will also be constructed on SR 410. The city’s planning and building supervisor, Jason Sullivan, told The News Tribune in October 2022 that the park will create 700 “family-wage jobs.”
[–>
The $115 million project will be paid for by developers Rainier RCL, LLC; ANVIL RCL, LLC; and DRJ Holdings LLC. The Bonney Lake City Council unanimously approved a development agreement Oct. 11, 2022.
[–>
Construction is expected to finish December 2030, The News Tribune reported in October 2022.
